What do you guys use for a helmet bag? I see Tillman make one I found on e-bay for 16.99. I am sick of dust covering my helmets and shields, and like an idiot I wipe them dry and scratch them up."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:My helmet came with a nylon bag which attracts sparks. It is full of holes. I'm thinking about changing to a cotton laundry bag from some place like Bed Bath & Beyond. It could be made spark resistant fairly easily. I found directions on the internet for fireproofing cotton that has worked well. A mixture of Borax and Boric Acid in water. I've used it on my shirts with good success.

Reply:the bag that my miller came in is still holding up. i use a thick cotton pillow case  for my oxy and grinding shields.

Reply:Ditto on the Tillman 520. I use it every day. The only thing, I stuff way too much $hit in mine. Everything, leathers, gloves, tools, school folders etc. After all that abuse I'm starting to get a small tear in the bottom. Probably from the 6 or 7 1/4" plate coupons that I bring home every day. The bag was never designed for all that but it does a decent job. My next bag is going to be something a little bigger and tougher. Maybe a Klein Tools bag or something like that. If you just put a helmet and some gloves in the Tillman it would probably last much longer.E

Reply:I use my 'chunk of cow' welding jacket. Pull off the bucket and wrap the cowhide around it.
