I have a mm 210 that came with the giant M25, also with an M-10 torch, which offers only one basic flush tip nozzle.  I am trying to find a compact torch to get in tight places, maybe with a swivel head.  Looked at the Bernards, Tweco, Binzel.  Any opinions?, all are withinn $20-$30 so price is not an issue.  Nozzle selection is also something that would be a plus.Doing sheet metal with the future torch.  Anyone need an new M-10??ThanksDavid
Reply:There's a dude on the Miller Motorsports forum that really likes the 150 amp Bernard gun.  He uses it on his Passport.  I'd like to get one myself as I don't really like the M-10.  My main gun is a Roughneck, which is also made by Bernard.-Heath
Reply:Man...if you think the M-25 is big...you'd hate the one on my MM210. It's a 400a ATT Lightning gun. Big is a word I would use for it.
Reply:I keep leaning toward the Bernard, I keep hearing good things about it.   Know a good online source?I don't think the 400a will be showing up in my shop, a bit like using a sledge hammer to drive a tack for me.
Reply:Maybe...maybe. The reason I am using it is for heat. It takes an awful lot of welding to even get this gun warm. Spray transfer will get it warm after a while, but on short circuit, nada.   I like it anyway.
Reply:There's a couple of Bernard Q400s on ebay.  The only Q150 I can find is here:http://www.arizonatools.com/tools/mi...BERQ1515AB7CM/http://www.weldingsupply.com has a few Bernard guns and consumables.-Heath
Reply:Thanks , I've purchased things from weldingsupply.com.  I'll give them a call.  How does the Binzel stack up to the Bernard?
Reply:I've not used the Binzel guns, but they look pretty good.  I know that some folks are very fond of them.  I'm pretty much sold on the Bernard guns at this point, particularly since ITW (Miller and company) acquired them.  I've used Miller M series, Lincoln, and Tweco guns and I believe the Bernard has better quality than all of them.I wish I hadn't found that link to the Q150.  I fear that I may just have to order one.-Heath
Reply:I just ordered a Q 150 from Cyberweld.  It drove them crazy, but Joe at cyberweld was great about researching and calling me after talking to Bernard.  I used the configutor on Bernard's web page to create a torch, and it pops out a part number.  Distributors don't have the luxury of putting the pieces together from Bernard's catalog.Looking forward to giving it a tryDavid
Reply:That's cool.  What'd they charge for it?-Heath
Reply:I paid $215 w/shipping for an essentially custom gun.  The arizona tools gun would have cost me more with centerfire contacts, the neck that I wanted,  liner and cord length. I looked around and some of the "Bernard" torches were actually "Bernard Style", made by who knows.  Been bitten by that before.  Cyberweld was the only site that actually took the time and got me what I wanted, rather then "I think you'll like this better" or I'll call you back on that....No affiliation BTW, they just treated me well...I've got a like-new M-10 for sale??david
Reply:You could sell the M-10 on ebay, probably.  Lots of folks with MM135/175 and HH140/180s use those guns.  There's a fair amount of demand for them.-Heath

Reply:It's a great gun (see your PM).  Too bad you used your M-25, Bernard would have swapped it for the gun of your choice, N/C ( no questions asked swap program).  Now I have a spare 300 AMP Bernard and the little gun for sheet metal.  Great combo.David
Reply:I haven't used the M-25 yet, it is still tie wrapped. I'll check with Bernard.
Reply:I just called Bernard. They have an extension # for Miller gun change out. Pretty neat!! Just orderd the new gun and I should have it by mid next week. No charge !!
