So I got my Sync 200 back in june and only have a few hours with it. Too busy with school and stuff. Only thing I built was a downpipe and some charge piping for my civic turbo project. I recently found a nice 3/4" thick piece of steel at a local yard for $50 (3/4" x 4.5ft x 3.5 ft)I used some 2.5" round pipe I had lying around for the legs, and braced them with 1" square. Here are some pics when I first got it, then I finished it up today. Just waiting on some friends to help me flip it over, then I can wire wheel the top and start welding away!
Reply:I would put cross braces on the legs. That is a big table to risk falling when you dump something heavy on it.
Reply:You should have put the legs and braces back under the table aways so they wouldn't get in the way of clamping things down. I made the same mistake on mine.
Reply:I figured the triangles would support the legs enough if the table happens to shift, which I doubt it will because I don't plan on putting that much weight on it. And with the size of the table, I think I have enough room to clamp around the spaces where there are no legs/support bars....
Reply:looks good.. Good deal on the steel! |
