Reply:Thanks.Hardest thing: polishing that stainless steel, especially after the HF ring roller put the teeth marks from the knurled rollers into it when rolling. The flat bar came in standard mill 2D finish. Starting with that, and adding teeth marks, it is an enormous pain to get it to reasonable finish...Does anyone know where I can buy flat SS bars that are #4 finished?

Reply:I do alot of polished stainless work and have never seen #4 finish bar stock before, im pretty sure thats specific to sheet. What did you use to finish it? a nylon mesh grinder wheel and some 200 grit flap wheels would make quick work of that.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:A medium scotch brite pad that mounts to a drill gives a nice and consistant satin finish - I've used it quite a bit on aluminum, but it should give similar results on stainlessFire!, Fire! Oh wait, that's my torch...Lincoln PT-225 TIGLincoln 175 MIG
