Reply:It is the exhaust side, the cast part of the turbo takes the HOT air.   Cooler air (Intake) comes out the aluminum side. David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:Not sure what all I just looked at but I threw up a little bit in my mouth...yep that's yuck.Wow bro, that is quite a collection of "intersting" pics of fab and welding.Built the same '83 CJ7 4 times, getting bigger and better each time.  Thought never even entered my mind to do some of that stuff..thank god.

Reply:So, in conclusion, people can and do weld anything. With varying degrees of success and finesse. I salute their efforts and hope it's all educational for them. Extreme expense involved in many cases, too.Some of it makes me shudder but I still respect their efforts. At least they've thought about it, planned it and executed it although how well is debatable.
