Can you tell me I should use 0.023"or 0.030"diameter wire with MIG on autobody work.Someone here said it was not right to use 0.030" on body work.Thank you.
Reply:You can get away with .030", but if you have a significant amount of it to do, you might as well make it as easy on yourself as you can. It'll give your machine that much greater of an adjustment range for the thin sheet metal.
Reply:yes you can play with the heat range and wire speed
Reply:.023 is better. It gets hot faster, and much smaller. So, less burn thru. Also, less to grind down after welding. |
