yep, me againonce again in another city, waiting to do my weld tests.... bored and making a pointless post4 Position FCAW in a few days, bend testproviding everything goes well, ill then have 9 tickets, yaaay
Reply:these are 4 position practice piecesi consider myself a flux core newbie compared to some people out there using this process. defiantly need more practice on consistency.Back left = Horizontal (4 cap passes, maybe could have used a 5th)first pass = i went to slow ( i switched to a lower setting than what i was used to), gravity took over in spots resulting in other passes not being so niceas you know, first pass effects the rest of themnot impressed, fix = faster travel speed on first pass Back right =  Vertical (4 cap passes)it was ok for my skill set for flux core, im content with it for now.. it can be much betterFront left = Overhead (4 cap passes)i think its ok for Directly Over head, but could of been more consistent,, as in.,. straighter beadsFront right = Flat (3 cap passes)Appearance looks ok, but i was running it to Hot. kinda like a spray effect instead of what you want for flux core. sure it will pass a bend test but Xray? i dunno  (click me to enlarge)4 position testing very soon.. we'll see what happens
