they look tough as hell, wondering if anyone ever used them.
Reply:I think I remember one guy on here using one. Maybe it was in the "show your rig" thread. They look cool, but big. I was watching them on ebay for a while, but only seen reg price, I think was $25.00 + shipping. If I found one shipped for under $20.00, I might get one for the heck of it."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:i saw a few at the local supply house. they feel pretty beefy. doesnt look like it has the same jaw spring as the rest. i hate when the jaws get wobbly
Reply:I have five of them and have used them for around 28 yrs. now and none have failed. Some have needed little fixes though, nothing bad. I use the 350 amp model. It is actually smaller and lighter than any other make that size. There are no springs in them as the jaws are bent and the handle flexes the jaws apart to put the rod in. You cannot pull a rod out of the jaws with your hands but the rod can be moved into other positions easily. I used 3 other kinds before going to these and never tried any others. They are good.
Reply:thanks bob, Ill have to grab one.. |
