Blue Torch Fab DIY Differential Cover

This is my first time using a mig welder in over 12 years. I think it turned out pretty good and it doesn't leak.

Reply:I bought it as a kit. I just put the pieces together welded it inside and out. I believe all of the pieces are cut on a cnc plasma machine though.

Reply:I have an Aussie in the front and a limited slip in the rear. The limited slip works so well I can't justify replacing it with a locker yet. Are you going to post pics of your long arm build?

They have that sale going again for $65 shipped.On the 8.25 cover. What did you do to make sure it didn't warp while you welded it?  I am really interested in their DIY kit.

Reply:Nice looking cover, I love wheeling in xj's, but I'm pretty happy with my old Willys now. Never really cared too much for the 95 yj my wife had. Haven't had an xj since my 99 got totalled in 01. Been eyeing a few lately, especially since I got to hanging around Mark Colman from www.detoursusa.com .Rob H.
Reply:I love my XJ. I'm sure you can get a thicker diff cover but I don't think my diff cover is a weak link anymore. I would guess the housing would give before the cover would.
