Hi this is Mrs jgst.A while ago my hubby showed me a table on this site that was a good idea for saving space. The top flipped up on it's side, and the legs were hinged and folded and strapped? underneath, so it was pretty much vertical. It had castor wheels on it as well, so could be moved around easily.I am hoping to get hubby to make one like this upfor me to put in the garage, so saving space is important.I hope this makes sense to you guys?? Anyway, I have been searching for it for hours now and have decided to throw the towel in and ask for help. Can anyone please give me the thread this was on???Thanks heaps.Mrs jgst.
Reply:Hi,You could try a search for "table", "bench" for something like that and see what the result is.Gordie -- "I believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
Reply:search for folding welding table,, I just looked at it,, the pictures are dark but you can see the mounting to the wall and the hinges for the legs to get the idea!!
Reply:HiThanks for the replies guys.I have tried all sorts of search names and descriptions, but cannot find it anywhere. Was hoping it may ring a bell with someone that has been on here a while. Maybe even the name of the poster. The folding welding table you mentioned fuzzykjun isn't the one I am after. The one I remember is on wheels and can be moved around the floor.CheersMrs J
Reply:If that's the table I'm thinking about, it must have been designed by a NASA egineer. It is a finely engineered piece of metal fabrication. The hinges themselves were works of art and could be used on D9 CAT. It folded against the wall with a 'scissors jack' type of linkage.  But I don't even remember a keyword to use in 'search'. Hope to trigger someone's memory. Good luck MrsJGST. 9-11-2001......We Will Never ForgetRetired desk jockey. Hobby weldor with a little training. Craftsman O/A---Flat, Vert, Ovhd, Horz. Reply:I seem to vaugely remember a table like craig is talking about. IIRC the poster needed to use an enginhoist or maybe a machine to tip the top up it was so heavy. I seem to remember a pict of it sitting in the middle of the garage/shop folded. I want to say that I saw it between feb and aug of 2008, however someone may have posted on it since then.I have tried all the searches I can think of but can't seem to find it. If anyone can remember posting on it we can use your name to help narrow down the search.MAybe someone who has a better grasp of how we can narrow down the search peramiters will speak up, I just can't get it refined enough to find it. I'll keep looking, good luck.
Reply:Depending on what you're going to use it for, something like this might work.  Just change the top to a solid material.  To save space, just fold the legs & place against the wall/under the stairs/in the storage shed........you get the idea.
