this is a wheelchair that I built for a customer a few years ago. The welding projects were the stereo cabinet out of scrap pieces we had in the shop, two monitor mounts, headrest as the speaker enclosure. The rest of the mods were LED lights all around, two 7" lcd monitors, separate 12V system for electronics, custom paint and upholstery. Attached Images
Reply:Nice... Rollin in style with the ground fx. What's the deal with the lcd on the back of the head rest? And why is the stereo enclosure so large? Are there batteries in there as well?Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:thats nice
Reply:thanks for the repliesI made the box a little extra deep for the tons of cables going to the back of the dvd head unit, as well as a powered antenea, and the length/width was to match the waterproof marine cover. The LCD on the back was a customer request, it was so his friends could watch too! I had a lot of people ask why that was there, it wasn't my idea. Also, another customer request, if you notice there are two automotove horns on there actuated by a motorcycle kill switch so people will get out of his way, they are freaking loud!!!
Reply:Did you also do the upholstry?A butterfly without wings, is just an ugly bug
Reply:No, I only covered the footrest and punched the holes in the headrest, the rest was done by a local custom upholstery shop. We didn't have the tools to do any more than that. They did a fantastic job though, and my footrest is top notch
Reply:I see you pimped Granny's ride! Did you install air shocks so she can make it bounce in time with the tunes?Seriously, nice work.
Reply:That is super cool. Pimpin. Nicer than my car
Reply:That's really somethin' elseHope to God I never need your services. Probably pull the plug if it gets to that"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Nice rig. If you have to use a buggy like that, you might as well try and make the best of it. |
