Well, new to me anyway. I just unloaded my first MIG machine into the climate controlled and fully illuminated RLP Motorsports workshop. I've been wanting to get a MIG for a while now, and I think this one will  cover just about anything I'll ever need to do.Tonight I've got to print out the Owner's Manual so I can get a handle on all the features this unit has. The shop where I bought it had it wired up, so I got to run a few beads before loading it up. Pulse mode is really cool...except for the "sunburn" on the back of my guide hand! Tomorrow I'm off to the LWS for gas, wire and other sundry bits (I seem to remember going through this before, when I bought my TIG machine). Keepin' it RED!Rex

Reply:PM300  - ssweeeetInput power requirements at 230V 60 Hz is an 80 amp breaker and #6 AWG copper wires (#10 AWG copper on the ground wire).  The machine will drink a listed 62 amps at 230V to output its 300 amp max.Yeah, that should be able to drive some wire.    The best laid schemes ...
