I 'am having a hard time locating 410SS Flux core wire. I tried Oxford alloys who has it on there web site, but when called they dont. thanks
Reply:Just guessing that 410 SS FCAW is probably very rare, if it exists at all. Straight lengths of GTAW solid wire may be accessible, but still not widely available.Apparently there is/was a company called Universal Wire Works that produced a GMAW/GTAW solid wire 410 SS.http://www.matweb.com/search/Specifi...assnum=NUWW290410 SS is a heat treatable, highly hardenable, martensitic SS, comonly used for items such as knives. See the following sites for tips on welding.http://www.stainless-steel-world.com...spx?pageID=476http://www.esabna.com/EUWeb/AWTC/Lesson5_14.htm
Reply:McKay InFlux 410 NiMoT1 is a flux-core wire meant for use on 409, 410, 410s, and 405 stainless steelsuse 98/2 Ar/O2 with it
Reply:Good tip on a source weldrwomn.Did a seach and found McKay is part of Hobart/ITW.http://www.hobartbrothers.com/products/They also list SMAW and GTAW/GMAW 410 SS fillers.
