Well I finally got my Lincoln 175HD up and running! My 100' 10ga extension cord seems to be working fine as well! My wife doesn't like that the dryer is unplugged when she's doing laundry though. Anyways, my first few welds weren't all that great. I finally figured out that I was going waaaaayyyyyy too fast! I finally figured out to slow way down and the welds looked a lot better. I got a whole lot of little scrap pieces of metal at work to practice on. I welded and welded until they were all one big piece really. I did butt welds and fillet welds mainly. I wish I had discovered welding sooner. This stuff is fun! I also like my other new tools like my big metal cutoff saw. That thing means business! It's loud as hell too. Now if my O/A torch will get here, I can cut up my big hunk of welded up scrap and weld it all back together again! Matt in OKCLincoln 175HD
