Reply:If you just have that little HF wirefeed, then you haven't been mig welding, you've been running flux-core... And FCAW and SMAW (stick) have a lot in common, there's slag to chip, you cant push the puddle, etc.Basically, you're going to a bigger, more capable machine and getting your "mig" wire in 14" sticks instead of little spools. Reply:Learn to master stick. Requires better hand hand eye coordination to manipulate the puddle. Mig has limitations that stick does not.
