I needed a way to move around the trailers when I mow.  Also, I am putting up some fence where I cannot get the truck, so having a small trailer with all my stuff on it is nice. I am not crazy about putting pressure on the bucket with the cylinders extended all the way, but as that I'll not be moving the trailers very far, or with much load on them, I made an exception in this case.  This allows me to move a trailer, but still be able to use the bucket.  If this does not end up being very useful, then I'll cut it and design it where it will set just about the cutting edge.  I'll have to extend it farther out to be able to see what I'm doing though. Some of the welds 1/8 6011 set somewhere around 115A ( the numbers are too faded to read.)  I also used a tiny bit of 7014 on one part, mainly because I have never had a chance to play with it.I don't have a drill press, so I had to use the torch for the pin holes.OLD miller M-295  (AC)Century 230/140 ac/dcVictor torchNot much else but some cheap tools.
Reply:very nice and creative. don't forget to latch the coupler because you will bend or break the coupler off.

Reply:in that fourth pic of the hitch up in the air, looks like you are going to hammer in nails. If you get good you can bush hog and tighten up the steeples on the wood post all at the same time.looks good and a good idea.G3miller... 225g, s32p, 250x, 304, 12vs, MSW41     victor o/a thermal dynamics cutmaster 50 lenco panel spotter        hobart hf-boxG3 Farms.....raising cattle, hay, kids and hell, ...oh yeah I'm a fire sprinkler contractor by trade.

Reply:I have the same situation.  I need to move my trailers for mowing.  I copied the mounting system for a shovel that can be mounted to a bucket and the system works very well for me. Attached Images
Reply:If you have a 3 pt on the tractor why not just put the trailer on the back. Thats what I did for my Father in law after he told me he wantedone for his bucket, now he doesn't have to drive backwards.lol except backing up.Brett B & B Fabrication and Welding Inc.Spalding, MI.

Reply:Originally Posted by SandyWell Brett, exellent point, with one major exception. He wanted it on the front . If I was your father-in-law I would have smacked ya upside the head.  In case you haven't figured it out how it works this is how it goes. 1) Father-in-law brings you the tractor and says he wants a ball on the front. You put the ball on the front.  2) A month later he brings it back and tells you how wrong you were for putting it on the front and that you need to move it to the back. You move it to the back. Pretty simple huh? It's called the cycle of life. I'm a dad, and the rule is "do it dad's way".
Reply:Can I see pictures of your t post driver?  It sucks driving them by hand!Carlohttp://public.fotki.com/Naudi2U/
Reply:Sandy, Thankfully for you I'm not your kid. My father inlaw saw somebody else with the bucket one and only uses his trailer to get firewood. So driving around in the woods backwards would just prove how big a fool you really are, you may be older, but not smarter. If he was a paying customer I would have done it his way, but since I do his stuff for FREE, do it right the first time and only WASTE my time once.Last edited by UP BRETT; 04-21-2009 at 09:24 AM.Brett B & B Fabrication and Welding Inc.Spalding, MI.
