I still have to make the stand, which is probably going have a Moon, Stars, and Planets design. To this point, it is a "Vintage 1940" BBQ grill made from a WW II 250 pound bomb (inert), topped with a part cut off the lower unit of a Mercury Outboard. A fireplace poker handle is the nose, mounted into Meat grinder part. Harley mufflers are the "Side Thrusters", Pineapple cans the rear rockets. The "rivets" are MIG dots. The "headers" don't make any sense, but that's how they used to draw them. A bulkhead will be installed between the cut out windows and the "burn chamber". Smoke will exit out the tail of the top "Booster Rocket". The chip in the top fin is from an Asteroid Strike. The buyer will get to choose between Propane and Charcoal (he pays for the propane parts). About 40" overall. Will be hi-temp Clear Coated."Good Enough Never Is"MIller AC/DC ThunderboltHobart HH180, 125EZRiland Cut 40 Plasma oxy/act outfitTons of "stuff", all treasures to me!

Reply:That's just a 40 grit Flap Disc, and it'll be clear coated with hi temp clear. When It gets all degraded by use (and the sun), it could always be painted with silver header paint...or left funky and rusty...which would be cooler, really."Good Enough Never Is"MIller AC/DC ThunderboltHobart HH180, 125EZRiland Cut 40 Plasma oxy/act outfitTons of "stuff", all treasures to me!

Reply:Well, the Moderators at "That other Forum" have not permitted these pictures to post, but here 'tis finished. Instead of "Moon and Stars", I ended up doing "Vintage Mobile Launcher", although I know back in the 40's they showed them launching straight up...like skyrockets..."Good Enough Never Is"MIller AC/DC ThunderboltHobart HH180, 125EZRiland Cut 40 Plasma oxy/act outfitTons of "stuff", all treasures to me!
