I got a Miller 330 abp(s). I really havent used it much. I've never founfd anything that ddin't work correctly about it. I never had a foot pedal for it. So I advertised for wanting a RF23-A foot pedal. I ended up buying a used MIC Interfave w/ a 5-14 pin adapter and a modern 14 pin Miller foot pedal from some guy. I hooked it up, and nothing happens. Being I never had a foot pedal for the machine, I can't say the remote works for certain on the machine. However I did have the old contactor switch on my torch, and the contactor remote works. Now w/ the mic4 hooked up, I can't even get an arc by scratch starting. Can anyone tell me what I can do to check either the machine or the mic4 to rule one out, or help point to the problem. The seller says the amperage remote from the machine feeds the interfaceits power, and it must be my machines amperage remote is bad, and that his mic4 and pedal is good. Anyone famuliar w/ trouble shooting this, or know much about the pros and cons of these mic4 boxes.

Reply:I am considering parting out my 300 airco. Same as a 330abp. I have the correct foot pedal. I am open to offers. I would also have all the internal parts available for sale too if u find something else is broken. I am giving it a week to sell complete on craigslist bfor I tear into it. Also have cooler and full model 26 tig torch setup. Water cooled. Have a Voltage sensing control box for Aluminum spool gun too. Reply:I am not getting any type of voltage reading at the 3 prong remote amperage receptacle. I took the cover off the machine. Most wires are numbered. #23 appears to be the ground, because it's going to the female prong w/ the hooked end. #70 is the female terminal counter clockwise to the ground. #50 is the one clockwise from the ground when standing in front of machine. Its located at about 7 or 8 o'clock. Seems when flipping switch, I should get some type of voltage readings from at least one of the terminals. I get nothing. Anyone know what type of readings or how much I should get? Or anyone have any hints on what to look at here? |
