I got the following rods in the other day on trade...http://www.google.com/m/url?client=m...+m-vo+316L-17eThey say:FOX EAS4 M-VD-316L E 19 12Are these rods good quality for doing stainless or are they junk? Expensive or cheap rods?If they are cheapies ill use them to teach others how to stick weld.
Reply:Bohler make top notch industry standard consumables, so they are probably fit for more than just stiring paint
Reply:I've never used Bohler rods, but the specs look good. I've used other brands of rutile SS rods. The slag comes off nice, but some have porosity issues. Play around with them a bit before you commit to a 'real' job with them. |
