Well here we go, they called , and wanted to know if I could do some cast Aluminum work.So I asked what.....and this is what I got........I guess to up the compression Is why I filled it in.....any way it's for some kind of pulling/race lawn tractor. Here's some pics of the welding and the first plain cut.......I asked for some shots of the compleated work.If I get them I wil post. All Tig AC, 1/8 Green Tungsten,170 Amps. 3/32 ,4043 filler. Reply:That should certainly boost the compression. Nice work.
Reply:looks good .if they do theres like we do. they will go in a polish the cc up real good and smooth.

Reply:Nice job, well done! Half the battle is inherent in the original quality of the casting itself. Once you got past the "skin" did you have boiling? bubbles? trash floaters ? Or was it buttah? Keep up the good work! maniak

Reply:Nice job.Customer is lowering combustion chamber volume which will increase compression ratio, snd increase quinch area, which will promote turbulance in chamber.Peter |
