Made a little quart sized melting pot up. Thought it kind a went together nice, it was as much welding practice as making something I needed.I'm almost thinking my welding is starting to suck a little less, but see something that don't look right let me know. Well other than the tack welds to put the end cap on a shaft to mount it in the lathe, they were just temporaray zaps with the mig. Reply:Nice. I was looking at one the other day at an auction. Similar to yours but the guy took a piece of angle iron and cut it in to make a spout. I'm going to do that to mine. Basicly took the angle iron and drew a line from the outside tips of the legs to the corner of the angle, then marked the pot to match and cut and welded.
Reply:Never thought of that, bet it would work nice for pouring.Lincoln PT185 TIGLincoln 175 MIGLincoln 240 amp AC StickLind Needle Arc plasma welderPlasma cutter, soon??? |
