Reply:Looks like something out of the Hellraiser movies ......
Reply:Good job on that, everything looks straight and square. Must have been a bit of a pain fitting her all up and keeping everything aligned just right. RegardsER70s-2P.s. I don't think those safety shoes would pass up here North of the border
Reply:Looks like a post-appocalyptic christmas tree.
Reply:what process did you use to stick them little buggers on ?nice job on the straight ....
Reply:Actually, those look like weld-on studs from an auto panel puller .......
Reply:It looks like roundbar mig welded on. Looks good!
Reply:That looks like a positive PITA to make. It sure came out nice thoughI like the air conditioner positioner/dolly/jack/whatever. That's super cool. Full use of the door, storage in off season, no backaches"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:Great job. But as Samm said, it would be a real PITA, especially with the little dots on the bars.
Reply:Nice work on the mid evil juggernaut war club!I have one of those roller stands that look just like the one in picture 3, broke that thing on the first use, I guess it wasn't meant to hold up a 4 1/2"x1/2"x 20' piece of flat steel. I still use it, just had to make some modifications to it is all!#1. If you don't like what I wrote, or if it offends you, then don't read it!#2. I am living life the way I see fit, if you don't like the way I'M living, tough sh**!

Reply:Well, have y'all considered that he may have called it that for that exact reason? I mean, looks kinda like a masochist's stripper pole or something, so ........
Reply:So, am I the ONLY one who had a completely different idea of what this project was before I opened the thread?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BDSM (Had some kinky girlfriends) (It appears I'm too late)Last edited by Joe Smith; 07-09-2009 at 08:34 PM.
Reply:Y'all just have some dirty minds, dirty kinky minds ............. not like that's a bad thing, of course .....
Reply:to the guys that seem to be dwelling on the BDSM, sorry, no code names. I labeled it simply on visual impression. But I'm sure there are places y'all can further explore the fetish thing. Only welding and fabing here. Oh yeah, I did come up with a cool trick to insure no part contamination, rust..etc, from contact with pegs. I used 3/8" heat shrink. Worked great and just today, the customer ordered 4 more racks.Last edited by wagin; 07-12-2009 at 02:52 AM.Miller TrailBlazer 251Miller HF-250-1Miller MaxStar 150 STLHyperTherm PowerMax 380 plasmaLincoln PowerMig 180Millermatic 252Miller Diversion 180With 4 more racks at 120 some pegs each, I'd look at posibly getting someone to turn the pegs instead of welding little dots.My guess would be that this should be super easy for someone with a cnc lathe. Start with the rods oversized and then cut out the areas in between slightly if just notches instead of bumps to seperate the parts wouldn't work.I forget where I saw it, but I saw a demo on what I believe was a cnc turret lathe, doing brass lever handles. Auto feed on the stock. machine came in did all the cuts to shape, then severed the piece, advanced the stock and repeated. You might also think about getting some flat stock and drilling holes on the centers you want. If you machine a step at the rear of the pins when they are turned, you could insert them in the holes and back weld them in. A quick jig could be made to simplify this. Have a series of tubes that you load the pins in, then drop the flat over and back weld all the pins.
