http://metalarchitect.com/tubechair.htmlChair project I've had sitting for a while finally was going to leave it bare and clear coat it, but left it too long and it started rusting, so i cleaned it up, applied rust inhibitor and painted! Its pretty comfy!Last edited by MetalArchitect; 07-31-2009 at 12:45 PM.
Reply:That's pretty cool. I'd be afraid to plop my 265# down on it though for fear of damaging the perforated sculpture figure.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:^^-- .... or perforating your own sculptured figure .......Really nice work on that chair, very contemporary.
Reply:Makes me wish I was under 300 so I could try it! Nice design!
Reply:That's neat. Do you have a local artist's association. If you do you should put it in their next show. It is definitely art.Is the main tube exhaust pipe? If it is I might worry a little about someone large using it. If it's 2"-sch.40 it should hold about anyone that wants to sit on it.
Reply:all-in-all its pretty sturdy! the main tube is 1.5" DOM 1/8"...I'm 200# and feels sturdy...has a nice little bounce to it...I figured if it can be a roll cage tube it could support most people. lol |
