heres a boat and mud motor i've been working on. the boat is 11.5' by 3.5' had to patch a couple holes.i moved the middle seat forward and put plywood on top, cut a cabinet in the wood and in the seat, has good storage. carpeted it all and put a seat on top. like a fishing deck.dont have any pics now of carpet and seat. the motor is a 11 horse tecumseh. right now it has carpet for the motor mount bumpers, but that will change. first pics are of the motor on the transom mount, steering and tilt system.then ther;s pics of the shaft.still need to:1. bolt together both plates under motor with large plastic washer for steering.2. drill hole, weld nuts to transom mount, and weld waher to bolts.3. install bushings and seals into shaft. 4. buy and install prop. 5. mount a gas tank somewhere.6. find u-joint and attach shaft to motor7. finish boat, should be done now, im about to go put it in the pool to see if it leaks still.8. shoot some damn ducks!!!
Reply:Oh, just do like a bunch of the other artists on here and build one, damnit ......Nice work on your boat. i like the idea of the extra storage "below-decks."
Reply:nothing makes duck hunting easier than having your boat less crowded. i even put the foam back in it under the plywood too. evntuallym aybe after this season or during break. i'll try tp put pods on it to herlp it plane better and handle weight better. |
