I have a perfectly good Miller Thunderbolt AC-225 and would like to add DC output from it also.  Has anyone here tried to build a rectifier to hang on the output of an AC stick welder? If so, where did you get the parts?  Any schematics?  Is it practical or just better to buy another welder?  Would appreciate hearing experiences, recommendations, etc., thanks.........no_arc
Reply:It can be done with 4 BIG diodes.  My dad had a factory made one.  It works, but you have to be careful because the ground is - voltage.DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
