Hey guys, I'm an old newbie. I've been welding for years, but never have been great at it. The knowledge you guys pass on has made itself obvious in the improvements in my skill since I found you!I am restoring/upgrading a late 70's Camaro, and it seems prudent to weld all those seams in the front subframe before I put it back in the car. I have two machines that I could use- a Hobart Stickmate AC/DC stick welder and a Lincoln SP-135T. The Stickmate is up to the task I'm sure, but requires more skill. If it were up to you and these were what you had to work with:Would you do it at all (am I too limited by the equipment)?Which machine would you use if you'd do it?If stick, what rod would you use?Did I leave out any important bits of information?Hobart Stickmate LX AC/DC, Millermatic 252 & 30A spoolgun, Thermal Arc 185 TIG, Miller BWESmith Oxy-AcBridgeport 2J , South Bend 42" 9AHusky 7.5 HP 22.3 CFM 80 gal compressor
