Okay, had this for a day tried it and got so fustrated I am returning it after 5 minutes of using it.The things I found wrong with it when doing tubing longer than 2' or so it isn't level and becasue of the weight on the ends of the tubing it gets angled upward in the vise and isn't squared. The second I found is you have to lift it into the vise fixture which I hated and never seem to have enough hands to lock this in.I don't think this item is to popular I posted a while back what everybody thought of this and the reviews weren't very well I recall.well here it is before it goes back in the box.

Reply:I have something like that. The problem is that you need to own several to get the full usefulness.
Reply:A cheap set of v-blocks or parallels run as outriggers from that clamp would solve your distortion problem. Mounting the clamp on your bench should take care of the rest of your problems.Lincoln PrecisionTig 275Miller 251Miller DialArc 250Bridgeport millHossfeld bender & diesLogan shaperJet 14 X 40 latheSouth Bend 9" 'C'Hypertherm 900Ellis 3000 band saw21"Royersford ExcelsiorTwo shops, still too many tools. |
