Just got a Miller 211 and have a question. After I am done welding I shut off the cylinder  and back off the regulator adjustment all the way. After a few hours the gauges show zero, do I need to purge the lines to the gun/machine after welding, or let it bleed down by itself as I have been doing?
Reply:I just turn the gas off & flip the switch off.  I leave the reg as is.Buy American, or don't whine when you end up on the bread line.

Reply:I purge the lines.  No particular reason it's just the way I do it.
Reply:I don't usually bleed off the argon lines after welding. I do with the OF torch setup. If the pressure on your regulator is dropping off overnight you have a leak in your system. If you are paying for the gas it's costing you $. Usually it's just a fitting that needs to be snugged up.
Reply:when my machines are running the tanks are wide open only. when im done flip the switch turn the tanks to closed position then unplug and put things away. no need to purge the only time I do is with O.F set ups
