hello from north texas, need advice for a 180 lincoln migHello,Can someone tell me why my 180 lincoln mig will only sputter when i run it on my 7000W gen, but it welds great when i run it from my 220/240 wall outlet in the garage. i have read on here that a 5000W gen will run the mig welder, so i assume i have failed to set something up properly.Thank youScott
Reply:could be as simple as a bad connection in the plug. may be something wrong in the generator as well. Check the voltage at the genorator outlet. see how it compairs. There are no problems.
