Pretty basic, easy to make, can use pipe, tubing, or flat, 60 degree cut, weld the three pieces together and you are done.  This happens to be 1.5 square tubing, 0.120 wall, with a 45 degree end just so you don't stub your toe.  Very stable. This is not my claim to fame, saw this concept on a blacksmith's site and ran with the idea.  This was born out of necessity, I wanted a disk off one of the pieces of farm equipment, can't remember what they are called, but none to be found out here in the desert.  This happens to be  stand for a propane forge.  Attached Images
Reply:Nice!  Really, really nice!  This concept can be used for lots of things that require only light duty but portable support.  In only seconds I can see several applications for this design!  Thanks for sharing!-MondoMember, AWSLincoln ProMIG 140Lincoln AC TombstoneCraftsman Lathe 12 x 24 c1935Atlas MFC Horizontal MillCraftsman Commercial Lathe 12 x 36 c1970- - - I'll just keep on keepin' on.
Reply:ive made some threelegged tables, the transition from triangle to square is always challenging...how is the stability?
Reply:Really nice job,  Particularly like the  support arm, fully adjustable every way, Does it extend thro' the upright to gain extra length?Lincoln SP-170 MigHypertherm powermax 45Lorch T220 AC/DC TigButters FM 215 synergic MigKemppi 180 adaptive mig RULES ARE FOR THE OBEDIENCE OF FOOLS AND THE  GUIDANCE OF WISE MEN.
Reply:Gordon--it does go all the way through the square upright.  This allows both front and back support if a long piece need heat in the middle.  Weldbead--it is very stable, even though the forge is heavy and somewhat top heavy, I am very happy with the stability.  It would take a good shove to knock it over.

Reply:itsadam1--it will be used to hold a propane forge used for Blacksmithing.
Reply:Wonder if it would have been a good idea to add a triangular plate cut perfectly to fit? You know what I'm talking about?Dynasty 200DXNo MIG as of yet....

Reply:All our jacks to lift airplanes were tripods.  Lifting a 15-40 ton airplane requires a lot of lifting power.  The jacks were triple stage & the jack handle was run by armstrong.  3 jacks per plane, one supervisor to monitor & raise it level.MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build
