I am designing a ventilation system for a welding shop. I wanted to know how should I start my project, like what aspects should I be looking for?Help will be really appreciated.Thank you.
Reply:Get big fans to start with, then figure out the rest from there. ou need air coming in and air going out. Use the fans to blow air out while air is drawn in from the opposite side of the shop
Reply:The system in the school I worked at was designed to move 200 cfh . The books that talk about fume extractors say to locate the fume extractor 4 to 6 inches from the weld zone, But that is probably a little close for most welding jobs. You can also get a shield from miller and pther companies that has a belt mounted battery powered filter pack and hood shroud, But they are pricey! |
