Should TIG be covered in CWB program?

I'm taking a ten month program in Canada.  I paid $8,600 tuition. Should TIG be covered?  I guess it's really up to the instructors what they put in the course load. But I've been doing some research, and alot of jobs in my area require some TIG background.   So far in my program (2 months in) I've done some OA/OA cutting, MIG and Stick. But I'm pretty sure my instructor said the only thing we won't be going into is TIG.

Reply:Many welding programs do not cover TIG in the beginning courses.There is just so much information to cover.There are at least 50 welding processes. Sometimes you will need to take some mini courses that specialize in these different processes.Find a Tig welder that can spend a few evenings with you and show you the basics.Getting a TIG welding machine is a big investment. Reply:Yeah, my instructor said were not going to doing any TIG. He said none of us are ready for it, and we have way too much stuff to cover with other processes.
