Homemade Grain Trailer

Does anyone know where i can pick up plans or ideas on building a homemade grain trailer.  I can't afford to buy a new one so i figured i try my hand at building one.  Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you
Reply:My Dad and I were just talking about the same thing last night. Are you looking for something like a gravity wagon on a gooseneck frame? An old grain truck converted to trailer? Totally new from ground up?Better have a little more info on this one.
Reply:In the cotton producing areas there are lots of old cotton tlrs laying around due to almost everyone going to the module builders. Would that running gear be strong enough for a grain tlr? Reply:I took an old 2-Ton truck frame with the axle and all and built a gooseneck tongue for it. I used 2 lift cylinders and a 12 volt electric hydraulic pump. I could pull it with my 1-ton but in the end it was just too small. I sold it and ended up buying a 600 bushel bobtail from an estate sale. The trailer worked well and I wish I had pics, but this was before the digital age and I never took pics of stuff like that then. I had no plans and as usual, I just started it and luckily it worked out..............................."Look Good Doing It"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply:Your best bet would be to find one at a consignment auction or someplace like that.
