welding table question`

I am looking to build a new table my old one is 36 inchs high I was wondering how tall yours guys are or how tall I should make mine I am 5 9 work standing up.
Reply:Read somewhere that the best work table height is 6 inches below your elbow with arm against your side. For me that works out to 42 inches and that height is comfortable for me at 6 foot tall.Ranger 250 GXTSmith Gas Axe

Reply:I like a short table so when I set stuff on it I don't have to stand on a step stool.  A short table also works well with a chair sometimes.My name's not Jim....
Reply:All depends on what you are working on and what height you feel comfortable working at. Reply:im 5'10" and mine is 41" high.  i'm a hobbyist and everything i do is bench welding, so i can sit on a stool or just bend over a little bit.I had a table that was 39" tall, and it didn't "look" right, so i cut it down to 36".  big mistake.  so when i was making my serious-table, i made sure i get it to the height i want.  and 41 seems to work out pretty good so far.
Reply:MINE is adjustable between 24 in.&48 in. 5insq. tube inside of 6in.sq.tube with 1in. pin holes every 2in.
