Hey guys went and looked at a tig/stick welder yesterday that I found for sale on CL. Looked at the welder, and facing the front of the welder in the upper left corner it had Miller 250 tig-stick ac/dc. Then to the far right it had a ser. # S 420252. When I got hone I couldn't find any info on it any where. The machine is about the size of a medium chest freezer. Would like any feed back possible, and if the Miller 330 A B/P would be better there is one for sale in my area also. I'm new to the tig seen, and have a weekness for older machinery. so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, 66plymouth
Reply:Did you check on the Miller Welds website? That would be the obvious first place for this info. You will need the model # as well as the serial # to speed things up, just use the search feature and plug in the correct #'s. Is this an electric machine or an engine drive? I suspect electric, since you are on a limited budget as evidenced by your previous posts.
Reply:the 330ABP is an awesome machine and is going to be a better machine than the 250. be sure they come with pedals and if you plan on welding over 150-200 amps you will need a cooler and water cooled torch. if one has a pedal and the other doesnt that is a big deal too as the pedals are in demand and go for about $ 150 used (at least that is what I have sold a couple of them for. ) either of those machines is going to need a 100 amp circuit to run at full power.Tiger Sales: AHP Distributor www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P, Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.
