hi, so i have to install that lumber rack thats been sitting around for ohhhhh about 4 years, so i had some questions.instead of bolting it to the bed rail (which is very narrow) with the 2.5" wide bracket on the rack, i want to weld the rack to 4 plates that are about 12" long, and bolt that to the bed rail so it could distribute the load better. my question is, will by 210mvp do this on 110v? i havent wired my garage for 220v yet so thats why i'm asking. both plates look to be 7/16" and i'm using .035" flux core.this is going on a 91 b2600 btw.thank you

Reply:ya thats why i'm asking, nothings more important to me than safety. i'm not a very experienced welder so i don't know if i can do good multiple passes.
Reply:anyone else have any tips

Reply:Here's a good motivation to get that 220v hook up installed..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:Take it to someone who has a welder more suited for this task! Be embarrassing to have a load of lumber hit the street & KILLING SOMEONE because the welds were ran too cold.
Reply:ok. guess i'll wait until i get the 220v hooked up. thanks
