Whats the good shade # for mig welding w/135 amps fulx core wire?
Reply:I use a gold #11 for almost everything, I keep a #14 for heavy arc gouging. Try a gold #10 or #11, much better than the green glass.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."

Reply:I think it is a personal thing really I myself use a gold #10 and sometimes a green #9 depending on which one I can see the puddle the best without lifting my hood and seeing white dots all over the place.some people I know use #12 for everything it's whatever your comfortable with and can see what your doing.Hope that helps for what it's worthDDOGIf it's too . get an office jobLincoln wp225g7 Lincoln 250 idealarcFrankenstein O/A set-up Weld-tech  tig set-upLincoln sp 175 plus profax  arc gouger
Reply:I have always used a green 10 for everything but my eyes are getting weaker or something I am having trouble seeing the puddle now so I think I am gonna try a 9
Reply:I use #8-10 for small mig work. Then higher for tig and stickMiller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.

Reply:I have a gold #10 for my pancake (but only because I couldn't find a bluestar). The shade you need will depend on your eyes. When I was 18 - 20 I used a 14, now 20 years later I use a 9 or 10 for almost everything. To choose your leans you want one that lets you see the puddle and a bit of the surounding metal, but not light enough that you see spots afterward like you would if you looked at a bare lightbulb or the sun.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:I used #10. I basically use #10 for everything unless i am in a dark place and go to an #11.
