Time to call it a night!Just went up to the shop for a simple 5 min. job of welding some 1/8 AL brackets. Fired up the TIG, tacked it up, grabbed the filler and went at it. Man this is not going well I though.Looked at the settings, ya they look ok, but I just can't get this filler to flow!So I figured it must need a bit more heat... SPLAT! WTF! never had AL go this bad! Looked at the number on the filler rod 308L! That would explain a lot! I think that is a sign to stop for the night.Me!
Reply:haha thats pretty funnywhat i do is i get pvc pipe, about 2 inch diameter and glue a cap on one end, then write the material and size of filler on the other endmake a rack for all the different fillers you havelooks cool and makes life alot easier
Reply:I have them in tubes, but somehow one got mixed into the wrong spot...Me!
