Dryer motor

Just got a new dryer and I have an old dryer that works but is useless to anyone. Can these motors be used for anything fun or should I just scrap it?25 years of age.Been welding since Feb 23rd 2009.LU1007 Millwright (A1)
Reply:I'm the type to keep all that kinda crap, but then never use it. LOL make a disc or belt sander with it!

Reply:Put an arbor on it.  Wire wheel or grinder or buffer, etc.  Just an idea.  Or is that three?(Retired) Professional firefighter, amateur everything else I try to do...Oh yeah:  Go Big Red!   (You know: one of the 12 members of the Big 10 cuz we left the 10 members of the Big 12...)

Reply:Stack it in the same pile with the weed eater motor, chain saw with no bar, alternator that fits something long gone, the water pump, boxes of used U joints and the other two lectric motors.

Reply:I must have a half dozen  AC motors taking up shelf space in the garage...I was thinking that instead of the customary bucket 'o concrete, I could lash some of them together and make a nice bow anchor to moor the boats at the lake this summer...
