I have a great 200 amp ac/dc inverter tig machine and was wondering if a spool gun can be installed on it? I'm trying to mig weld aluminum up to 1/4" thick.Thanks

Reply:No!! isn't going to work unless you have a voltage sensing setup, even then going to be difficult to start in cc.

Reply:There are several spool guns made for running off of cc. Almost all will work with the proper controller. Can't tell you how well they work as I haven't tried it just investigated them.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist. |
