You guys should have a section of the site where everyone can post reviews on the online welding supply shops they order from. It would be helpful to all of us to share who has the best prices, best selection, and if any of us have ever been screwed by an online seller. Here's two that I can share...CyberWeld.comI've ordered from CyberWeld.com a few times now and have to say, their prices are virtually unbeatable. Shipping is fast too. Their selection isn't as large as other online vendors, but their prices make up for it. From what I've heard from others who have bought welding machines through CyberWeld, they have way better prices that you can even find locally with discounts, plus free shipping on these large/heavy orders makes them unbeatable. Local shops just can't compete.ToughWeld.comToday I ordered from ToughWeld.com for the first time. Their site seems to offer A LOT of welding items, and the checkout process couldn't have been easier. I'll post back and let everyone know how fast the items get here, etc.
Reply:"lectric, I too would like a consolodated supply link page.  Something that has links to various different vendors who offer rod, electrodes, supplies and misc type stuff.  One possible issue or reason they have not embraced this idea is to avoid the appearance of favoring one vendor over another.  I would be open to just a list, and then make the decision to buy or not based on my needs.   Once they established the section, feedback could be left outlining specific performance measures, and leave the subjective character assasination for the other sites.  Good thought, just tough to implement.I'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
Reply:I can't add a whole lot.  arczone was fast and freindly with good pricesDaye
Reply:Alexandria General Supply  I ordered a bunch of Bernard parts, a week later nothing had arrived so I called, one of the items was back ordered 2 more weeks. I wait the 2 weeks then I get an email saying one of my items is back ordered 2 weeks, thinking this was just the back order from before. I called again same item 2-3 weeks additional back order. Now I know it is not AGS problem it was back ordered but it is there problem that they do not email or call their customers for 3 weeks to tell them there is a back order. I had to call, if I had not it would have been 3 weeks before I got any contact from them. I am not the only one the google reviews (found after my order) were full of people with the same complaint. I will say the prices are great but customer contact is nill. -DanOwnerDW Metalworks LLCMiller Trailblazer 302Miller 8RC FeederMiller Passport PlusMiller Dynasty 200 DX W/Coolmate 1Hobart Handler 135Hypertherm PowerMAX 30Smith O/A Torch SetPlus much much more

Reply:cyberweld is good and i havent found anyone else with cheaper prices. plus they have free shipping on orders over 25 bucks.
Reply:My experience with cylinders from weldfabulous has been good. For stick rod, weldingdepot is good for the sizes you can't get at Atwoods, stuff like 5/64 and 3/16.Got the Precision Tig 225 from Harris Welding Supplies. They had the best delivered price I could find. Quick delivery.
Reply:I can add another Fresno oxygen and welding supply and tom waters online. Both have very good service and prices.
Reply:do you use these.......and ANY OTHER ABRASIVES.......NO-ONE CHEAPER !!onlineindustrialsupply.com Attached Images        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3
Reply:I have used Cyberweld.com, RAM welding supply, weldingsupply.com, and ArcZone. My favorite is RAM.  They have good prices, free shipping to the Western half of the country and give good service.  Besides lots of supplies I have bought a Miller Passport Plus and Lincoln 255XT from them.   I have bought numerous things from Cyberweld because of the low cost and free shipping and only had one problem which they did not resolve by the way.  I received a defective very expensive flowmeter that was damaged and leaking.  I ended up repairing it myself at my expense.  They also only ship using FedEx which does not give acceptable service in my area so I don't use them much now.  Welding supply has been very erratic their service.  Some things are shipped quickly and others may take months to arrive with no status given to the customer.  ArcZone used to be good but their shipping costs have gone through the roof so I no longer use them.   I buy through these online suppliers because I live in a rural area and both the fuel costs and time to go to local suppliers are prohibitive.  The closest supplier is 30 miles away so I mainly use them for gas refills.

Reply:UsaWeld.com is the site for HTPusaweld.com  I have purchased a few thousand dollars worth of stuff from them. Super fast shipping, I know it's just from Illinois (them) to me in Michigan but still good. Multiple confirmation emails with tracking info. Good prices on filler metals for my Tig that I bought from them. Better yet I was able to practically have an email conversation one day with both Jeff and Diana concerning a bunch of detailed questions I had and all responses were quick, professional, and accurate without a hint of poor customer service. I've been very satisfied. How do you know the blacksmith's dog? When you hollar at him he makes a bolt for the door!
Reply:Originally Posted by Fab54Wow! I ordered from www.weldingsupply.com and had EXACTLY the same experience. They were complete "a$$wholes". Their website was built by a programmer wanna be. I think a hacker could tear it apart in about 30 seconds. Employees should be trained on customer service and what a customer is because without them they are nothing. I will never buy from www.weldingsupply.com again even if the price is HALF of what others charge. Glad to see there are others out there who had the same problems. It wasn't just me.....
Reply:I bought my ranger gxt from harris welding supply and they gave me a good deal.  A couple of times calling them after that they have been real short with me on the phone.  In general I have to order on line because my lws has nothing to choose from.  I have ordered some rods from SSS steel and they had some good rods for cheap.  They sent the wrong rods so they sent out more free of charge.
Reply:Scott Gross Supply is a great online source.  They have great prices and even when an order messed up on the shipping end (UPS couldn't find my house), Scott Gross resolved the problem.  If they don't have what you are looking for on the online store, call them as they may have it at one of their stores.
Reply:I am partial to our place for positioning equipment but welders-direct.com  and harrisweldingsupplies.com are both good sources.
Reply:Indiana Oxygen http://www.weldingsuppliesfromioc.co...let/StoreFront they also have an Ebay store.Cyberweld.comArczone.comThere are the only places I've shopped at, and have had great luck with all of them
Reply:I bought a small mig from Indiana Oxygen a few years ago and price and transaction went fine..since, I have decided to stay with local suppliers...prices not always bottom dollar but if I need something at the end of shift on Friday PM, a phone call will get them to leave it "next to the fence" for pick-up.  it's not always about the lowest $
Reply:The largest Lincoln reseller that has a lot more than Lincolns is Munn Supply in Enid Oklahoma....I have found that they are below retail and sometimes below wholesale on all their products. They go beyond for those emergency orders needed right now....Ask for Peter....tell him Joe Bill Moad sent you.Don't Worry About the MuleLoad the Wagon!Lincoln 305GUnion Carbide TorchDon't Worry About the Mule~Load the Wagon!
Reply:I have used Cyberweld.com and Weldingsuppliesfromioc.com (Indiana Oxygen Company).  I just purchased a Trailblazer 302 from IOC, free shipping.  I have previously purchased a Miller 375 Plasma, and a Miller 212 from them.  Smooth transactions.I have spent a couple of hundred at Cyberweld with no complaints on price or service.  The local vendors get my normal consumable business, but the brick and mortars dont get my equipment business.Jay DavisAWS-CWIC-60 Specialty Welding ContractorLoving husband, and father of two boys (

Reply:I know, not really online but.... O'reilly auto parts for consumables, go in and ask for a tools and equipment catalog, they carry Thermodyne/Firepower and if you own a business or use alot, they can keep it in stock for you, not to mention open after 5 (and deliver to businesses) and is usually cheaper than the LWS around here.Last edited by Ryf; 02-21-2012 at 03:49 PM.Hobart Handler 190 Century 90amp on FluxCraftsman 200amp buzzbox
