This is the sprint car body I recently built, I did not do the wings or the tail. There are a few things that I did different that most bodies don't have. All the graphics & lettering are hand painted! Not by me though! Attached ImagesFlashhttp://flashracecarbodies.com
Reply:Nice looking ride Flash. Yours? It's been about 12-13 years now but I used to build motors for a couple Empire Super Sprints out of Central NY. Last ones were for Doug Emery (#33) http://www.empiresupersprints.com/roster.htm His crew chief and I did the building. Alcohol fuel injection. 1400# and 750+HP. Reply:No Duane I just built the body on the sprinter! Its a 2 barrel sprint. Been doing quite a few cars this winter. After retiring from racing in '08, I have got a heck of a deal on this car & looks like I'll be back in the saddle for 2010. It will have a slightly different look when I get done with it! Reply:Late Model..........Wow, those things can fly around a 1/4-3/8 mile track. Much longer than that, they get to going too fast down the back straight........ 3/8 mile avg time is about 18 second laps. IMCA's came in about 18-19, Pro-Am's about 20-22 seconds. I built engines for a Pro-AM. Driver couldn't drive in traffic though. And when he was ahead, he would slow down, wanting to race somebody. Then would get pushed out of the way or lose. We had the power, just no brains behind it.MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build |
