This is the infeed table for a chop saw station.  I'm getting too old to keep up that working on the ground crap.The infeed table is 12' long, with cross supports spaced at 1', 2', 3', 5', 8', and 12'.  This is the ideal spacing to save on materials.  It will support all sizes fed into the saw.  The 12' overall length will handle all sizes of material including 20' sticks.  You don't need a 20' infeed to handle 20' sections, they will balance on a 12' infeed.Width between the long rails is 12"All tubing is 14ga.  2x4 long rails, 2x2 cross rails.  The ends will be left uncapped due to the fact that this thing will spend its lifetime outside, no need to possibly collect water.  And the Good Lord saw fit, in his infinite wisdom, to give Man the ability to make wasp sprayTwo pieces of tubing were taken off the rack, layed out as a trestle to support the table, and line of sight leveled.  Something I've always had great success with.  Merely sight across the top of two pieces of tubing, and shim until you see no gaps.  The eye is an amazing instrument.Then square, and tack it up.The method for centering the small tubing between the long rails is evident in the pics.If you look carefully, you can see the imperfections in the 2x4 tubing.  It's unmarked imported garbage  But they sure sell it at a good healthy American price Attached Images"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:gonna be real heavy duty Sam, looks good. know what ya mean about that imported steel, bought some 1'" sch 40 pipe from  my supplier, & tried bending it, crinkled up like tin foil. had to go to the local plumbing supply & get some good old fashioned 1" screw pipe  to finish the job.
Reply:I hear ya on the too old, Samm. Awhile back I built a cart on casters for my chop saw and figured out I can use my hyd work table on casters I bought from HF for an in feed.
