Reply:Here in OK this is called a street stock. I'm not sure what this car has for motor size. I just built the body & customer will put the nose piece on it. Rules say no bigger that 368 cu. in. This is a side business I started a year ago. My car is on another post. I'm buying the car & the pic of it is a white car #D1. But it will be mainly black when I.m done with it!Thanks for the comments guys!Flashhttp://flashracecarbodies.com
Reply:Looks good Flash.Any more pics? Maybe some of how you build the panels? (if you are willing to share). What type and thickness of aluminum do you use?http://all-a-cart.comWelding Cart Kits and accessories

Reply:Thanks! Nothing really special to building the panels. Just some of the measure twice stuff! Use electric shears, 8' break, manual bead roller & English wheel if needed. When I go ahead & mount the body for the customer I use a drill & air riveter. Nothing uncommon about what I do. Just have an eye for what I want it to look like. I take the input from the customer & basically do what they want. I change a few things sometimes, but its all for the better. No unhappy customers yet!ZT, haven't really thought about taking pics as I go! Just go out & get to work. Did a body a while back without the car here, the guy said he'd install it, if I remember right, it was a total of 14 pieces & did it in 3 hrs. 15 mins. Next one I do may be my car & I'll take some pics of the process! Oh and I use .040 alum. already painted. I think it is like 45 different colors they carry!ZT, my stuff doesn't even come close to your work! Thanks again!!!!Last edited by The Flash; 02-27-2010 at 02:07 PM.Flashhttp://flashracecarbodies.com |
