Well I just got my 3/32 tungsten in the mail and gave it a try. Few things I have noticed or maybe it's just me and I could use some clarity.Seems it takes the arc a little bit longer to stabilize compared to thoriated. I seem to get more consistent looking welds with it.I can burn a hole in steel A LOT easier and it seems to burn hotter and I can get away with a lot less amps.Anyone else notice this?Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Never noticed that, but I've noticed it still gives an acceptable arc after dipping in aluminum.   Maybe it's just me, but I can finish a bead without changing it if I dip.  I didn't have the same with pure or ceriated.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
