new mailbox for mom

here is some pics of the new mailbox not sure what it weighsits 1/4" plate 1/4"key stock and 1/8"for top now i need to sandblast and paintand i need to find a way to keep the door closed any ideas on thi would be great  god bless thanks

Reply:Stained glass would rock - but $$$$. If you can find Krylon Fusion spray paint and give a light even coat to plexi, it looks similar. Nice work !Just another clown trying to be cool

Reply:I used to do stained glass before welding. Glass can be cheaper than plexi these days. I'd bring the holy postal to your local stained glass artist. They'd get a kick out of your piece and they'd probably have some scrap they'd give you, or for real cheap. Could also try the local supplier. They often have breakage you can get for cheap or free. Transparent color with some pattern or texture would be nice. GNA (German Nouveau Antique) would be nice. Reply:Very nice work, and the flag cross is cool, too.Btw, for those of you who are interested, that's known as a Celtic cross.  The circle behind the cross is meant to represent the sun, as Saint Michael had it in Ireland.
