Reply:I noticed the copper flex (thought it was gas line- like for a stove) But the first thing I saw was the line of what looks like rivets ( near the bottom front) and the fact he has turned the tank so the drain is on the front (and so the copper flex reaches) and the rewelded mounting plate. Reply:Don't see a problem with the welds.All compressor assemblies are welded.The line from the compressor block to the tank will fail pretty much as a rubber airline will fail, if it fails.  I've never used this type of tubing, but have regularly used flexible copper refrigerant tubing for relief/shutoff switches. Reply:I don't see a pressure switch to shut the engine off. That would definitely be a quick way to remove the siding from your garage.
