Is the Chicago Electric 110 amp mig welder a good welder? I'm just going to be using it to build little things and do little fix ups.Thanks
Reply:just found out that you have to run that welder off a 220 and i only have a 115 at my house. So i need help finding a mig welder that isnt real expensive and that i can run off a 115 volt outlet.Thanks

Reply:And the 220vlt would be the way to go. If you have room in the main add the breakers and go that route you wont be sorry. And the welder isn't a bad little welder for what you stated. Reply:i dunno i think it's AC only and you won't like the penetration you get with ac also you'll have to turn your heat way up to run a bead at least my expirience with those cheap *** habor frieght welders buyer beware.the stick welder i bought mine as well throw it in the trash had to turn it up to 110 to run a 3/32 7018 and you have to move fast at that heat hard to control the puddle and bead appearance.save your money.oh and 6010 downhill forget it man it stubs out everytime really got to push that rod into the puddle, 6010 uphill stubs out a little and leaves undercuts suck *** welder.
