"The Welding Operator." A neat 1942 welding film. (10 min)

That guy going inside that pipe did it for me.         I don't think so.  Are you in any of the footage ??    Just kidding. How did you find this ???  I never thought to try to search for this on the web. Great contribution, you should post this on the Miller site too . Thanks  !

Reply:I noticed that most was about O/A but a true indicator of the times was the footware of the spotweld operator...Dress shoes a different time indeed.Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. So YES you can own too many tools.
Reply:Great vid.  The quality of the beads shown were not up to present day standards.  I loved the tack welds on that pipe "bird droppings" is a kind description.   I actually had a job doing Oxy-acetylene welding of short cooling water pipes for trucks in the 1980's.  It went on for weeks at a time.  Very slow and boring.
Reply:Great video It's amazing 70 years later and i am getting into the same field. P.s that scene with the woman is a great American reminder how woman did what they had to do for the war and to build this country.
