It was a mad rush to get the thing done by the AM for a Canadian customer, but we managed to pull it off in time.  Here's some photos of the framework that the airplane is sitting on. The customer said he had one when he was a kid, but it didnt have the observation window on it.  This plane comes with a great story:  THis old guy asked him if he wanted to buy it and he said he didnt have that kind of money at the time.  The guy said he would accept 18,001 dollars for it because he wanted to show a profit. The canadian asked why it was so cheap and why the dollar.  He said that he played a poker game, years back and this was the bargaining chip at $18,000 and the dollar was for profit.The frame is all 1 1/2" x 3" x .095 rec tube with 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x .095" square tube.  It sits in the stake sockets with a flange to keep it from sliding all the way through.  We then drilled a hole though the socket and the tube, then welded a nut inside the tube so you can lock things down. He told me that he has seen them go for around 60k on ebay and there are only asbout 12 of these still around.  And the bubble was a modification that the military pushed for so they could take photos.  I think he said is was built in 49.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
